Former Hawk Mike Williams in critical condition after Club 426 nightclub shooting

According to the AJC the security guard that was shot in a Georgia nightclub was former Atlanta Hawks forward Mike Williams. Mike Williams who is 46 years old is in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital.He was shot inside Club 426, located on Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain, shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday. No one else was hurt. As of right now there is no motive or suspect.

Williams who is originally from Chicago averaged 12.3 points during his college career at Cincinnati and Bradley. He was later drafted by Golden State in 1986 and added to the NBA roster in 1989 with Sacramento. The Atlanta Hawks signed him in 1990. He played five games with the Hawks before being waived. The waiver ended in NBA career. We hope Mike Williams has full recovery.
