How Long Before Julieanna Goddard Get’s Wifed Up?

Cavs Kyrie Irving isn’t the only guy on her heels literally… How long before Julieanna Goddard (@Yesjulz) gets wifed up?

What according to you is the purpose of your existence?
I am here to bring light into the lives of others.

What “rules” do you live by?
There are no rules. I don’t deprive myself of anything I want, ever. I believe our time here is precious and that we are to enjoy it as much as we can. Don’t like your job? Quit. Wonder what Paris is like? Go there.

I believe in being fearless and hoping for the best. I am kind of crazy for that in a sense, but it has worked for me.

What person has contributed most to your success?

My mothers love has always been so boundless and unconditional that I have felt unstoppable from a very young age. She always told me I would be the first female president, and I believed her. My success is directly attributed to my confidence in myself and my abilities, and that comes from the seed that my mother planted with her encouragement and watered year after year with her love and praise. She is the reason for everything I do, and don’t do.

If you were able to name yourself using words rather than actual Names what would be your given Name. (ex: Meta World Peace lol )
Diamond In The Rough 🙂

How do you get balance in your life?
I will be very honest, I am lacking balance. It’s the one thing I have always known I need to work on. I don’t know how to do anything in moderation. I am very extreme, it’s a gift and a curse but it’s something I work on every day. I party for a living right now, but I balance that out by reading or singing to myself and my dog in my spare time. That’s about as balanced as it gets.

Why this career?
It fell in my lap really. I have always loved showing people a good time, from telling stories at the lunch table to selling $10 tickets to a prom after party I put together that nearly landed my uncle in jail and my mother in the hospital (from a heart attack after realizing the radio show was talking about her daughters party getting raided by a swat team, great story for another time perhaps!) I started as a promoter in Tampa and just worked my way up, and I am still ascending. This year a lot of things in my life are changing for the better, even though things are pretty much already awesome. I just started my own PR and management company and am working on many other projects. I’m all over the place, but it works for me. I’m getting it all done & I couldn’t be more excited.

Who were your hero’s when you were young?
My mom, my Aunt Pat & Uncle Marty, I was a problem child & they loved me when no one else did. My mom adopted me when I was 9 years old; she is my real life super woman.

What was one of the most memorable things that your parents have told you that has made you the person you are today?
“You can do anything you put your mind to.”

What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
I am proud of who I am as a human, daughter, sister, friend and employee. I am happy and grateful every day. To me, that is the greatest accomplishment one can have. Finding peace and love within themselves and sharing it with others. I am more proud of reaching that fulfillment than any of the accomplishments I have achieved thus far.

What is the difference between being alive and truly living?
Oscar Wilde said it best- “To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist.”

Truly living is to laugh, to smile, to love, to create. A person is most alive when they speak about something they are truly passionate about, so much so that they have a twinkle in their eyes and can’t help but fill the room with the electric energy flowing through them. Feeling, loving, giving, learning, and growing, that is truly living.

Joy is found with simple awareness.  What does your joy look like today?
My joy today came from waking up to feeling the heat of the sun rising over the ocean through my window, from untangling my little fluffy pup’s leash on Lincoln road. From having a conversation with Mario at Carrot Express about how he could make his business more hip and profitable. Making a juice at home and even from answering these questions right now, realizing how blessed I am to live the life i lead.

Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?
I enjoy what I do now but it is all just a part of the big picture. I have a goal and every step I take is leading me in the direction necessary to achieve it.

What’s your single greatest moment of personal failure?  Looking back on it now, did it make you weaker or stronger?  What did you learn?

I was in love with a man who made me believe he was the sun, the world revolved around him and everyone and everything else was irrelevant. I forgot about my friends and even distanced myself from my family during my time with him. I wanted to be everything he could hope to have in a partner and I changed myself to meet his criteria. I lost my soul, became a person I didn’t even recognize, no one did. It was a very dark period for me and during a time that should have been some of the best years of my life.

I learned so much from that relationship. I wouldn’t ever change a thing. I am stronger than I have ever been or ever would have been had I not experienced that kind of pain, violence & alienation. I thank God for him.

In your opinion for a woman (or anyone starting their own business), what are some critical things for them to be aware of?
It is critical to know your worth, but never show it. Sometimes we see ourselves on a certain level- we may not realize that from the outside looking in, our value is worth more than we even know. When entering into business with a company or individual, know what the minimum is that you will accept out of the deal, but let them make their offers first. Never be afraid to say no or ask for exactly what you want. As women we tend to want to please others and often sell ourselves short in the process. Be firm. Be bold. Be confident in your abilities and your worth. If you don’t ask, you won’t receive. Worst case scenario, if you shoot too high at first, lower your aim. Best case? You overshoot and they go for it.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want with you?
A good book, my journal, and my camera.

If there was just one statement you could say to help and inspire women, what would you say?  There is nothing more powerful than a woman who is confident in her own skin.

If you could do it all over again, would you change anything?
This may seem like a beauty pageant answer, however it is how I truly feel, I am a very spiritual being and thoroughly believe that everything happens for a reason. I’m thankful for all of my trials and tribulations- I am who I am today because of them. It hasn’t been easy, and I am extremely thankful for that. I’ve learned to make it work, no matter what the situation may be. That is what I do, I make it work. Drop me off in a desert and not only will I find water, but I will bottle that water and sell it. I’m a survivor.

What inspired you to be the voice for others?
Am I a voice for others? I don’t think I am. I have my own voice and I encourage others to have theirs.

As a person who lives and carries on by inspiring those around her, what inspires you on a daily basis?
Young entrepreneurs inspire me. My friends that have managed to create something wonderful and make a living from doing so- those people make me want to be better, work harder, and push my limits. I am drawn to passionate people who have that twinkle in their eye when they speak about something they love so much that you can literally feel the energy radiating through them and into you. Passion is contagious.

Why do you think we chose you as the Woman who Rock for the month of February?
Well that’s pretty easy! I rock, you guys rock & now we are rockin’ together 😉 Haha!

I must say it is quite the honor and I am so humbled and pleased to be a part of the movement. I believe there is an unspoken recognition between women who are constantly creating, inspiring & giving back. We see each other from afar (with the help of social media outlets such as Instagram & twitter) and we are kind of just like “That girl is really something! She’s movin’ & shakin’ and looks cool while doing it.” I see social media as a tool, a platform if you will, to build a following and make a difference. I believe I am doing that, on a small scale, and perhaps that’s why I have the attention of you wonderful ladies.

What is your favorite quotation? Why?
“I quit being afraid when my first venture failed and the sky didn’t fall down.” – Allen Neuharth

I love this quote because I believe fear can be mans greatest weakness. We limit ourselves so much with fear. Without fear, we are capable of trying and therefor, doing, anything.

Favorite book? Author? And why?
My favorite book it constantly changing, It’s hard to pick a favorite anything when you have yet to experience every last of its kind. Of the books I have read so far, however, my current favorite is Just Kids by Patti Smith.

I read the book two summers ago while I was in Paris and it served as such an inspiration for me. She was a rock star- but more importantly, she was a poet that brought her readers into a world of shatteringly honest and adventurous love. You felt her pain, her struggle and her joy. After reading the story of her and Robert Maplethorpe and witnessing, through the eloquently written pages of that book, a love like theirs, anything less than passionate, unordinary attraction just will not do. I have been single ever since! LOL! (Can I LOL in an interview?)

And last but not least,

If your life was a novel, what would be the title of your book and how would your story end?
What a great question!

My life most certainly will be a novel at one point, and I will be the writer and just may own the company that publishes it as well.

Lets title it “All The Right Places” I’ll let you ponder as to why I would choose that.

The story will end with my child laying in a hammock on some beautiful porch somewhere with lush trees and hills in the distance, closing the leather journal from Izmir that I had recorded my thoughts and adventures in, thinking to themselves “Mom lived a crazy, happy life.” via livevivacious.com
