Waka Flocka Flame’s brother Kayo Redd has reportedly passed away.

Few details have emerged regarding the rapper’s death, which reportedly took place yesterday (December 29). However, family members and business associates have confirmed the passing via social media sites.

Kayo’s mother, Debra Antney, confirmed reports of a passing in her family via Twitter, though she offered no further information.

Dayne Dash, who was responsible for Redd’s booking and features, according to Kayo’s Twitter profile, also wrote about the rapper’s passing on Instagram. Dash’s caption for an image featuring Kayo can be seen below.

You had my back and I had yours, @whiteboytommy was never more than 2 steps away. “I love you brodie” is what you told me EVERY TIME we parted ways or got off the phone ever since Dunk passed. I’m not going to say the “rest ….” Phrase, because anyone that knows you knows that you never liked or wanted to say that. It was always “LONG LIVE”. The only word that can explain my feeling right now is disbelief.

Can’t imagine the feeling of losing a son or daughter, hope I never have to. Hearing a family member or close friend getting murdered or being killed in a accident is one thing. But commits suicide, it just makes me have regrets that I wasn’t their to help him/her out when they really needed it.
