Who would of guessed that Will Ferrell and the Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues cast and crew heard Yeezus a month before the rest of the world did. Over, and over again. Ferrell spoke to Jonathan Ross on Kanye’s time on set, when he filmed a cameo during what looks like a massive battle scene similar to the first film’s news channel battle royal. ““It was very surreal to have Kanye – who’s such a big fan of comedy – in our movie hanging out for two days,” Ferrell told ITV’s The Jonathan Ross Show.
“He was playing the new tracks a lot, over and over,” Ferrell said. “Even when you’re trying to film, he’s playing the tracks.” He goes on to say Kanye hung out a little while longer even after his scenes were wrapped. Just imagine the Channel 4 news team rocking out to “Blood on the Leaves” in between takes.
