In my opinion it is what it is, if you are going to criticize trinidad james you have a longer list of other rappers who should get attention also.
look at how hip hop has been bastardized under the guise of “entertainment” and become a tool to promote negative stereotypes and ignorance. all under the direction of the “establishment”.
it’s so bad that artsit who try to be progressive have to be careful and mix it up, one to keep listeners paying attention at two to have a chance of the record industry releasing their music. unless thy be told it’s not street or hard enough. kendrick kind of goes there and so do artists like the roots but they’re the exception by far.

I think he made a very interesting point in the it’s his image that has people so captivated. He seems very comfortable and confident in his own skin. People gravitate towards that. The video is dope as hell and so is the song. I agree with bruh, he has a future.

I’m 37 years old and as a person who has witnessed the evolution of Hip Hop I can honestly say that Hip Hop has done quite alright for itself. Hip hop is not dead and Trinidad James isn’t the catalyst for all that is negative in the music game right now. When I was younger we had our artists who used profanity and drugs and for me to blame all of societies ills on them would not only be foolish but untrue. If that is your belief then you might as well side with the racist white folks in the high rises who’ve been trying to take away your freedom of expression since the days of 2 Live Crew.
