The Game and Lloyd Headline New Orleans Music Fest

Compton rapper The Game and R&B heartthrob Lloyd have both signed on to perform at the 20th annual International Arts Festival (IAF) this October. Established as a way to promote world music and local community projects, this year’s IAF will still be held in New Orleans despite being recently struck by Hurricane Gustaf.
A N.O. native himself, Lloyd recently debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Top 200 with his third LP, Lessons in Love. The Game’s L.A.X. – which also debuted on the charts last month – came in at No. 2 during its first week, selling over 238,000 copies.
Additional performers at the IAF include up-and-coming rapper Asher Roth, R&B songstress Tamia and reggae acts Morgan Heritage, Yellow Man, Collie Buddz and Red Fox.
The festival will take place on October 11th and 12th in Scout Island, City Park from noon to 9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online now at iafno.com or ticketmaster.com.
