Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Desmond Bryant was arrested Sunday morning in Florida on a criminal mischief charge, according to multiple reports. On Sunday afternoon, the Miami-Dade County correctional facility’s website confirmed the arrest.
According to the arrest report on the Miami-Dade County correctional facility’s website, Bryant was booked at 9:24 a.m. ET Sunday morning and held on $1,000 bail.
“We’re aware of the situation and are gathering more information,”
Raiders spokesman Zak Gilbert said in a statement.
The 27-year-old Bryant is set to become an unrestricted free agent for the first time in March. He was one of the better names in the defensive-tackle market, but his arrest will undoubtedly complicate matters.
