Ordinance proposed to end DeKalb County nightclub liquor sales at 2 AM
Take a good look at this man. His name is Commissioner Jeff Rader and he has introduced an ordinance to end liquor pouring & sales at 2 AM in DeKalb county nightclubs. He is seeking to put an end to all the club owners rushing to open shop in DeKalb county to avoid the 2:30 AM curfew on liquor sales in Atlanta:
The ordinance introduced by Commissioner Rader at the September 25th Board of Commissioners meeting seeks to change the end pouring times from 3:55 am to 2:00 am Monday – Saturday. We would appreciate any support which you and your groups may be able to provide: emails, circulating copies of a petition and either scanning/emailing it back or faxing it back to us (404-371-7004). I am looking for additional community contacts countywide to get the word out and garner support. If you are willing, please forward contacts, church leadership, MADD, or any group which you think is interested in the quality of life in DeKalb County. We will need to turn out a crowd at the October 9 meeting. (Source)
It looks like most of you will have to get your drink on before you hit the clubs.
