Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks took on the newly revamped Raptors who recently acquired Rudy Gay. It was a rough shooting night for Melo who finished the game with 12 points missing 19 out of his 24 attempts. After the game he was reported to have suffered a contusion in his right arm which my cause him to miss this weekends All Star game. After experiencing numbness throughout much of the game he called the pain as being deep in his biceps area.

“I’m not going to force it, definitely not going to force it,” Anthony said. “As bad as I would want to play in the All-Star Game, participate, if I can’t go, I can’t go. Nothing I can do about that.”

“It was kind of like a dead arm out there,” he said. “Just a matter of trying to get through it, trying to get some feeling back into it.”

Doubt there will be any additions added without further certainty from Carmelo this close to the game, but if he is unable to go who do you think deserves a spot on this years East team that initially missed the cut?
