A “press release” circulating this morning announced that the Grammy Award-winning rapper and singer, Kimberly “Lil’ Kim” Jones,” was expected to announce her bid to become the next mayor of the “Mile Square City” Monday from Los Angeles, according to her publicist Andrew Carlisle.
Shockingly, it turns out that the press release was a hoax!

“They are completely untrue,” said Kim’s publicist, Lisa Perkins.

“Jones exudes confidence in her ability to reform the city’s budget crisis and breathe new life into the city’s government,” another publicist (or is he) Andrew Carlisle said in the fake release.

‘Lil’ Kim’ has had a residence in Hoboken since March 2008. This would have been her first serious bid for political office.
