Actress, Eva Mendes, has checked into a rehab center in Utah to deal with issues relating to substance abuse. Her rep said “Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support.”
The actress was also announced on Friday as the new face of Calvin Klein’s Fall 2008 fragrance campaign. In a statement addressing Mendes’ rehab announcement, Calvin Klein said: “We support Eva during this difficult time and respect her decision to seek professional help.”
