E.Coli Findings Issues Recall On Frozen Pizza Products1 Comment The New York based company Farm Rich has announced a recall on some of it’s frozen pizza products according to The Examiner for over 30 of its products. On April 4th the FDA announced that e.coli may be contained on the products. The products have been reported by the CDC 24 cases of E. coli O121 bacteria were discovered in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin Products that were purchased in the Waycross,Ga area with by sell dates January 1, 2013 to September 29, 2014 have also been placed on the recall list. According to the CDC, E. coli O121 can cause serious foodborne illness in a person who eats a food item contaminated with it.
