Sean “Diddy” Combs is being sued by a man who claims that he was assaulted by the mogul’s bodyguards at a New York City nightclub. The Associated Press reports that 27 year-old club promoter James Waldon has filed a $5 million suit against Diddy in New York County Court over the alleged incident. According to Waldon, he approached the Bad Boy boss at around 1:30 a.m. on June 1 as he was leaving The Box nightclub and attempted to invite him to a show by a group he was promoting. The suit claims that Diddy then gestured to his bodyguards to “forcibly remove” Waldon, prompting one bodyguard to punch him in the face, knocking him onto a table. The promoter says he was then chased around the club and punched and kicked by two other bodygurds, causing injuries to his mouth and teeth. Jonathan D. Davis, an attorney representing Puff, says that he is aware of the suit, but has not seen any paperwork and could not comment.
