Confirmed: Beyonce Did lip-sync the National Anthem at Inauguration

· January 22, 2013

For those who care Beyonce Knowles’ performance of “The Star Spangled Banner” at the inauguration was entirely lip-synched. A rep for the United States Marine Band revealed that she decided to perform to a pre-recorded track at the last minute.

“All music is pre-recorded for the ceremony because there are so many eventualities and conditions that day,” Kristin DuBois, a rep for the band tells Page Six. “We performed, live, the band. But we received last-minute word that Beyonce was going to use the pre-recorded vocal track. Those were the instructions we were given. We don’t know what the (sic) reason why.”

Any live performance that anyone does is lip-synced. Sh!t, no one can dance all across the stage then sing as if they’re not out of breath. But she knew those bougie white folks wanted her to sing w/o lip syncing. I must say no one could do this song justice like Whitney Houston. Alicia Keys is up next for the Super Bowl, so let’s see what she can do.
