Akon Fan Tossing Sentence: 65 Hours Community Service
Akon has been sentenced to 65 hours of community service and ordered to pay a $250 fine after pleading guilty to harassing a fan at a concert in New York more than a year ago.
The case made headlines when the rapper threw a teen fan off stage and on top of another fan during a concert at the Dutchess Stadium in June 2007.
Akon will not face jail as long as he completes his community service, the Associated Press reports.
