If I’m not mistaken, there is no such thing as 900-karats, or “non hunned K” as Birdman puts it. He surely means 900 Carats, with a C. Karats with a K is used specifically with regards to the percentage of gold on a 24 unit system, 24 karat gold being pure gold, 18 karat being 75% gold (18/24 gold and 6/24 other metals). Carat is a unit of measurement for the weight of gemstones. As it is impossible to have 900/24 karats gold, and his piece looks to be loaded with diamonds,I believe he means 900 Carats, or “non hunned C.” Given that he can afford such jewelry, I’m sure this distinction does not matter one bit to him. But, for the record, I believe it is Carats. For the haters, you can all snicker at him whenever he says K.
GLAD YOU KNOW UR CARATS FROM KARATS BUT CMON NOW, WE ALL KNOW WHAT HE MEANT.. YOU SOUND LIKE THE HATER..SHOULDVE KEPT THAT ONE TO YOURSELF
Actually, I doubt that many people recognize they are two different words, given that they are pronounced exactly the same way and are both used with reference to jewelry. That’s probably why Birdman said K and not C, not because he knew better and made a simple mistake, but because he didn’t recognize that the distinction even exists. As you put it, I’m sure everyone knows he was referring to the weight, but I doubt everyone knows that Karats is not a weight measurement. That’s what I was pointing out.
It’s refreshing hearing cats like you that got some sense. Rappers need to learn that it no longer matters what they buy for the simple fact that they are rappers so…anyway, you show me a brother with that type of money and he doesn’t sell poison to his own people (drugs or filthy music) then I might take notice. Hell, if he’s that smart, he wouldn’t buy garbage like that. Jews laugh behind closed doors on all the money Africans spend on (Jew)elry. Imagine that.
Unfortunately this is why my people will always be on the bottom. That live for the moment attitude is one hell-of-a drug.
