Compound, one of Midtown’s few remaining large night clubs, is shutting its doors after New Year’s. Its going to be destroyed and rebuilt by 2008. The Gidewon’s purchased Compound in 2006 at about the same time Vision closed and are also building a un named club at 1068 Peachtree St. across from the old visions. Personally I thought that the original blue print of the compound wasn’t designed for a night club and felt something had to be changed to make it better. From what I heard is all the large night clubs had to move out side of the inner city cause the the city is making it mandatory to have enough parking spots with in your club which the gidewons are planning to do in 08.
